Just posting some of our pics in our Boracay Family Trip (Sept. 23-27, 2011 during the TD Pedring) We stayed at Facebook Resort (formerly Villa Criselda) a stone's throw away from D' Talipapa. Weekend was still cloudy, so we were able to enjoy the sand and the sea, and then island hopping and snorkelling on Sunday afternoon. Manolo L. Quezon and Ms. Gang Badoy of RockEd, who will share their thoughts on these two basic questions:  How can we harness the power of social media for the social good?   Can bloggers become positive change agents through social networking? I took snapshots of the 2 speakers during the event. There are so many things I have learned, the ones that stuck were probably; to have a sense of awareness of the world around you, to make a statement (and own it) because what we blog about today ...

My last week of July (24-30) was fully booked with special events here and there... I must agree that the world is a bigger school, you have to take everything as a fun learning experience like a sponge, especially now that I'm beginning a long and interesting career in the creative world of Advertising Design ;) Art at the Shang 2011 I was able to attend the last day of the exhibit with two of my bestfriends since pre-school. And coincidentally most of the artworks there have subjects that show the joy of youth, color and life. I'm happy that in a way, I got them interested in trying out a hobby in painting :D Philippine STAR's 25th Anniversary 25 years is how long we are enjoying our Freedom of Speech & Truth in the Media (and also in Advertising) One of the perks in working in an ad agency, is getting invited to major, major media events like this (we're awarded one of Top 25 agencies)  Highlight of the night was my winning shot with FVR. ;) ...

It's about time for me to start taking my work and 'artsy' hobbies to the next level...  Just to share what I do everyday, I work as a Graphic Artist from Monday to Friday, and when I have spare time I also blog. So basically, I need to refuel my creative juices!  And the good news is there are so many events in and around the Metro, dedicated for both the artists and the art-lovers, this July and August... Art at the Shang 2011 is an ongoing exhibit participated by different artists that comprise the Saturday Group. It runs from July 16 to 24, held at the Grand Atrium at Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City. I remember during one of my painting classes when we were required to visit the Saturday Group exhibit so we can get inspiration from the works of the artists, but I had thesis back then, now there's no stopping me! More than a good plot, what I enjoy about movies, are the characters who look their part. And since I am still 'jet-lagged' on the lovely dresses I've seen yesterday in the chick flicks: Eat, Pray, Love and Monte Carlo; I have dedicated my energies into assembling looks on Polyvore and writing about dressing up on travel by taking cues from Liz Gilbert & Meg Kelly. I find it really nice that her wardrobe adapts to the setting, you can distinguish one country from another, it's like showing how Liz has immersed herself to each culture. Among the three lead actresses in Monte Carlo, I would see myself wearing pieces from Leighton's character. She is the most practical, staying true to travelling light and looking great on the camera, without having to sacrifice comfort. Yesterday, I came across an ad from  Impulse Co  to like and comment on a post by  Somnium-et-Vita  regarding a chance to win Monte Carlo premiere night tickets for 2... I was third to comment on which of the actresses I like best with Leighton Meester; we were 45 all-in-all, luckily I won via the number generator. I have to thank the person responsible for the contest, fellow blogger, Ms. Honey Andrade.. :) So I invited my mom for a movie date tonight. This made my day... it's really cool. I guess this is still related to the category I have for Thursday-- something about Technology and Promos... I remembered how my sister would tune in for the radio promos and be the lucky caller of the day; Much has changed about the mechanics, and it's all because of the popularity of Online Social Networking sites, like Facebook. ;)

This is my personal blog. I have planned to categorize my posts according to some of my interests: Music for Monday, Travel for Tuesday, Wishlist for Wednesday, Technology for Thursday, Fashion for Friday and then Special Features for Saturday & Sunday. (alliteration much?) Well I just thought about those stuffs while trying to put my mind to sleep last night... ;) And since today's a Wednesday... my wish list is to be able to maintain a quite decent blog. Somewhere I can store my creative juices, share my random interests and speak my mind. Or in the future, where I can relive my adventures of being young, wild and free. :D
